It may be bad form to say “I told you so,” but I told you so.
In the October 2009 issue of my newsletter, as the world was gripped in H1N1/swine flu hysteria, I predicted that the pandemic—which had been declared a national emergency that would infect up to half of the nation, overwhelm hospitals and emergency rooms, and cause upwards of 90,000 deaths—would fail to live up to its hype. I also pointed out the downside of the H1N1 flu vaccine, which was rushed into production, untested, potentially dangerous, and—like seasonal flu vaccines—unlikely to provide significant protection. Let’s recap what’s happened to date.
The Epidemic That Wasn’t
The World Health Organization (WHO) started talking about the “pandemic of the century” last April, when fewer than a thousand cases of H1N1 had been diagnosed. Part of the rationale was that this virus would be particularly virulent because it was a new bug and people would have no immunity against it. This turned out to be untrue. Unlike seasonal flu, which usually hits older people the hardest, H1N1 has hardly touched those over 60; they obviously have antibodies from previous contact with a similar virus.
In any case, WHO pushed the pandemic button and recommended a new, patented, two-dose H1N1 vaccine. Immediately, America’s Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and health agencies around the world jumped on the bandwagon, ordered vaccines to the tune of $7.6 billion, and did their best to scare people into getting vaccinated.
Well, the epidemic never materialized. Predictions were ridiculously overblown, and most people who did get H1N1 had mild cases that were much less severe than the regular seasonal flu. Even at its peak in October 2009—before the vaccine was available—the number of daily deaths was considerably below seasonal averages. The same scenario played out in the Southern Hemisphere, where the flu season came and went with little fanfare.
Untested, Ineffective Vaccines
Meanwhile, at the behest of their governments, millions of people around the world have been inoculated with an unproven, inadequately studied vaccine. A mere 13 weeks elapsed from the time the green light was given until doses were delivered to pharmacies and physicians—hardly enough time for thorough testing. In fact, the earliest safety and efficacy studies weren’t even completed until December 2009, well after mass vaccination was underway.
Nevertheless, the powers that be have been assuring us for months that this new vaccine is not only safe and beneficial, but urgently needed. Particular pressure has been placed on pregnant women, very young children, older folks, and individuals with certain health problems. Yet, despite the government’s insistence that these vulnerable groups get vaccinated, no safety or efficacy studies had been carried out in these people.
Folks, vaccines are cocktails of live and dead viruses, mercury and other preservatives, and a list of chemical adjuvants that are supposed to increase their effectiveness. All of the potential complications of childhood vaccines—and more—hold true for the H1N1 flu vaccine.
Safety aside, flu vaccines in general aren’t very effective. The Cochrane Collaboration, an organization that reviews the medical literature and provides independent, evidence-based evaluations, has come down hard on them. They’ve found the bulk of the flu vaccine studies to be poorly designed or badly executed, and those that are reliable show scant benefit.
Still, governments, doctors, and the media do their darnedest to frighten us into compliance. And those of us who take a contrarian stand are told we’re endangering not only ourselves and our children, but everyone else as well. It’s insane!
Vaccine Mafia
How do they get away with this? It’s obvious. Just follow the money. This “pandemic,” like all the other pandemics that never materialized, has been a gold mine for Big Pharma.
According to Wolfgang Wodarg, chairman of the Health Committee of the Council of Europe, an organization of 47 European nations that promotes human rights, there’s a tremendous amount of collusion between pharmaceutical companies and health care decision makers. “These large firms,” he states, “have ‘their people’ in the cogs and then they pull strings so that the right policy decisions are taken—that is to say, the ones that will allow them to pump as much money as possible from taxpayers.”
Dr. Wodarg, who has labeled this false pandemic as “one of the greatest medicine scandals of the century,” has called for an international investigation. His motion to the Council of Europe reads:
“In order to promote their patented drugs and vaccines against flu, pharmaceutical companies have influenced scientists and official agencies responsible for public health standards to alarm governments worldwide. They have made them squander tight health care resources for inefficient vaccine strategies and needlessly exposed millions of healthy people to the risk of unknown side effects of insufficiently tested vaccines.
“The bird flu campaign (2005/06) combined with the swine flu campaign seem to have caused a great deal of damage not only to some vaccinated patients and to public health budgets, but also to the credibility and accountability of important international health agencies. The definition of an alarming pandemic must not be under the influence of drug sellers.”
Crying Wolf
Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, and other European countries are cancelling H1N1 vaccine orders and trying to return or otherwise get rid of their surplus, as people in these countries have wised up and opted against vaccination.
But what does the CDC (as I like to call them, the Center for Deranged Criminals) do? According to their Web site, “CDC recommends influenza vaccination as the first and most important step in protecting against the flu. Because supply and availability of the 2009 H1N1 vaccine have increased dramatically, CDC is now encouraging everyone who has been patiently waiting to receive the 2009 H1N1 vaccine to get vaccinated at this time.”
How many more times are we going to listen to the WHO, CDC, and other bureaucrats cry wolf?
